Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Nutrition Bar Review by Strength Oldschool

I’ve been looking forward to trying out the newest flavour of Quest Nutrition Protein Bars and I’m not disappointed….This protein bar tastes AMAZING!! As Quest Nutrition is an American company, it’s a bit of a pain having to wait months before new flavours are introduced to the UK but thank god, Mint Chocolate Chunk is now finally HERE!

The following points system is based on 0 to 10, with 10 being the best:

OVERALL: 8.5 / 10

Quest Nutrition Mint Chocolate Chunk Protein Bars are highly recommended. They simply taste amazing. The only downside is the cost. Apart from that, give them a try. You won't regret it.

For a more in depth review on each of the categories above, please continue to read on.

TASTE (10/10)

Simply amazing. The texture is nice and soft and isn’t too dry, so a bar can be eaten in seconds! And more than one bar can easily be eaten at one sitting. Mint Chocolate Chunk is simply that good. This flavour and Cookies & Cream are now my current top favourites.

If you are UK based, one box of Mint Chocolate Chunk Quest Protein Bars will cost you around £26.95 from Amazon. In one pack you get 12 bars. That price breaks down to around £2.25 per bar. That price is still pretty competitive with other protein bar companies but let’s say you eat two bars per day….That means one box of Quest Mint Bars will last you only 6 days!!! So let’s do the maths…

1 box = £26.95 (last 6 days)
30 days in a month (6 X 5 = 30)
5 X 26.95 = £134.75

If you continued to eat two bars per day…. for a one month supply, you would be paying £134.75 per month!!! By only eating one bar a day, the price would still be pretty expensive to be honest.

So I have only given 4/10 for value for money. My judgement for ‘Value for money’ might seem a little unfair but I judge based on working out how much a product will cost to stock up and last for a full month using realistic terms i.e. how often will the average person, including me (in my opinion) eat this product per day. And in my opinion, yes some people will only eat a protein bar once a day, maybe even only once every few days but I’m basing my critique on someone (like me) wanting to eat this product as much as twice a day.

Unless you’re lucky enough to be sponsored by Quest Nutrition, the cost of maintaining a consistent supply of these bars may be off putting to a lot of people. But in saying that, if you haven’t tried this flavour yet, and you do have the money or you would just eat these bars once a day as a special treat, then go on and buy some. You won’t regret it.

HEALTHY (10/10)

Nutritional Information per bar:
Calories: 190

Quest Bars still remain one of the healthiest and convenient protein bars in the supplement industry.

You can get a variety of flavours like ‘Double Chocolate‘, ‘Strawberry Cheesecake‘, ‘Apple Pie’, ‘Chocolate Brownie’, ‘White Chocolate Raspberry’, ‘Chocolate Peanut Butter’, ‘Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough’ and MORE!! Plenty of flavours to suit individual taste buds.
