Quest Protein Shake - Strawberries and Cream Flavour Review by Strength Oldschool

I’ve been looking forward to trying out Quest Nutrition Protein Powders for a long time now. I purchased Strawberries & Cream flavour. I couldn’t find any UK branches that sell Quest Nutrition Protein Powders so my delivery came from the US!! Took a wee bit of time to arrive but thankfully I was in no rush.

Quest Nutrition Protein Shakes still remain one of the healthiest and convenient protein supplements in the supplement industry.

The following review is based on points system from 0 to 10, with 10 being the best.

Quest Strawberries and Cream Protein Powder is a good healthy protein supplement which can also be used for cooking. It mixes well in both water and milk simply by using a shaker bottle. No need for a blender. Taste wise it's okay but it's not the best I'm afraid and considering the price per tub for so little servings, I doubt I'll be buying it again. But I do recommend that others try it. If you like your shakes thick, you'll enjoy Quest Protein Powders.

TASTE (7/10)

This shocked me actually. I was expecting something great, a unique out of this world taste, but in all honesty, the taste wasn’t the best. I’ve tasted better protein shakes at a much cheaper price. I’m kind of glad that the taste wasn’t the best because the price of one tub is fairly expensive. I expected a better taste but let me just say that the taste was nowhere near bad. It was good but not great. Definitely tastes better in milk than water. I would love to try out the other Quest Nutrition Protein Powder flavours but unless I get it for free or I have extra money to spare at the end of the month, then I honestly don’t see myself buying another tub.

If you are UK based, a 907g tub of Quest Nutrition Protein Powder will cost you between £38 to £46!! from Amazon. One tub gives you 32 servings. The tub actually looks massive in person but when you see the size of the scoop you’ll then believe that you do only get 32 servings.

If taken once a day, then one tub of Quest’s Protein Powder will last you about 1 month. But taking it twice a day, then you’re looking at only a couple of weeks. Let’s say you pay £46 from Amazon, then that’s pretty expensive protein just to last only 14 days or so.

So I have only given 5/10 for ‘value for money’. My judgement for ‘Value for money’ might seem a little unfair but I judge based on working out how much a product will cost to stock up and last for a full month using realistic terms i.e. how often will the average person, including me (in my opinion) use this product per day. And in my opinion, yes some people will only use this product once a day, maybe even only once every few days but I’m basing my critique on someone (like me) wanting to consume this product as much as twice a day.

Unless you’re lucky enough to be sponsored by Quest Nutrition, the cost of keeping a consistent supply of Quest Nutrition Protein Powders may be off putting to a lot of people. But in saying that, if you haven’t tried this flavour yet, and you do have the money then go on and buy some. Treat yourself.

I started off using a blender for this product, just habit. The blender I think gives the shake a more nicer frothy, smoother taste. But I thought when doing a review on a Protein Shake, I must see if the product mixes well using just a shaker bottle. Using a shaker bottle is a convenient way which allows lifters to take their protein shake to the gym. We can’t exactly take a blender to the gym, too much hassle. So here’s the results….

Mixed in water / milk using only a shaker bottle:

Using just an ordinary shaker bottle, I’ve tried Quest Nutrition’s Protein Powder in both water and milk (not together obviously!) and both times the protein powder mixed instantly. No lumps at all were left over. The product mixes extremely well using just a shaker bottle. So no need for a blender.

You can get a variety of flavours like ‘Vanilla Milk Shake‘, ‘Peanut Butter‘, ‘Chocolate Milkshake’ and ‘Strawberries & Cream’. For me that’s enough flavours, I don’t need anything fancy, just basic straight-forward flavours.
